Meadow Creek’s spin on the Santa Maria style centers on the stainless steel crank wheel and cable system that raises and lowers the grate over the fire. The mechanism is big and easy to handle, cranking up with a satisfying clicking sound and locking automatically when released.

The crank height adjustment is the signature feature of Santa Maria grills, since it lets you switch instantly from searing to slow cooking, without moving your coals and meat around. But our Santa Maria still gives you total access to your coals with a hinged front panel that swings down to expose the charcoal tray and just as quickly locks closed again.

The 22×48-inch welded grate holds enough barbecue for a crowd, and like all our grates, it’s made of stainless steel so you can focus on cooking, not fighting rust.
